Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas

TEXAS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT – MITIGATION
(CDBG-MIT) PROGRAM


The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas is giving notice of the Tribe’s intent to submit an
application to the Texas General Land Office (GLO) for a Texas Community Development
Block Grant – Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Regional Method of Distribution (MOD) program. The
proposed total of the Tribe’s grant application is $500,000 to be used for the following
projects:
1. Emergency Warning System
2. Generators to support Wastewater Treatment Plant Lift Stations
The Tribe will request public comments for fourteen (14) days from the date of this posting.
Tribal members are encouraged to submit comments to James T. Martin, Tribal
Administrator, 571 State Park Road 56, Livingston, TX 77351 or via email at
james.martin@actribe.org. All input must be received by 5:00 p.m. on September 24, 2024.
Comments will be incorporated into the draft application documents, as appropriate, that
will mitigate the devastating effects of natural disasters as well ensure the projects are in
line with environmental regulations, affirmatively further fair housing activities, and, if
applicable, minimizing displacement of persons by project activities.
Upon the expiration of this comment period the Tribe will review and address the public
comments in the proposed application.
The application is available for review at 8:00 a.m. on September 11, 2024, until 5:00 p.m.
on September 24, 2024, at the Cultural Center, Tribal Administration Office, 571 State Park
